Stables is a family run restaurant and has been opened since January 2007.
Run by the three Masons directors, father Steve, and son & wife Tim & Jo

In the five years since the Stables’ doors first swung open, the restaurant has established itself as one of ‘the’ places to go in Cheshire for fresh, beautifully prepared modern European cuisine. The interior is warm and inviting, making the most of the building’s original features, but the Stables’ main attraction is, of course, its first-class food.

"We took advantage of Tim's mid-week table d’hôte menu, which offers outstanding value with two courses for £14.95 or three for £17.95, between 6.30pm and 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My partner opted for the leek, potato and Roquefort soup, which was packed full of flavour, followed by confit duck with oyster mushroom stroganoff and jasmine rice – he assured me the duck was cooked to fall-from-the-fork perfection. My starter, a mozzarella and tomato salad, was well-balanced in both texture and flavour, while the sea bream main was outstanding – the skin was crisp while the flesh was firm and succulent, complemented by smoked pancetta, artichoke and a rich tarragon sauce."
